Luminair for iPad is like a dream come true for lighting designers and anyone else who works with creative lighting. Luminair uses the Art-Net protocol, so it's compatible out of the box with lots of existing equipment on the market. Luminair for iPad is the result of over 2.5 years of advanced multi-touch development, and it shows. Building on top of every feature included in Luminair for iPhone, the iPad version adds new advancements that take it way beyond. Features like fully editable cues, project-based draggable color swatches, pop-up contextual controls, external keyboard support, a user-configurable UI, plus a user interface and performance enhancements that make it the first software-based multi-touch lighting console truly capable of live performance. Multi-touch optimized
Luminair has a brilliant and refined user-Interface, with powerful touch-optimized controls throughout the app. Some of the highlights include wide fader controls, large trigger buttons, RGB and CMY color pickers, XY controls with accelerometer support, and easy touch-based channel assignment. User's have the choice of working with groups or individual tracks when creating looks, giving you ultimate flexibility in how to set up your workspace.

Luminair offers an innovative way of assigning pictures and images as a visual reference for the designer's cues. Users can use the device's built-in photo library, or Luminair's internal web server to assign images. A CoverFlow view makes it easy for users to browse and trigger cues in a completely visual manner.

Stacks of fun
Luminair offers continuous automated show playback with Stacks, which is a cue-list playback system. These playback capabilities have been designed to make it very easy to put together shows for a wide variety of uses, in a really quick and familiar manner.

Cues are added to a stack, and each have their own individual hold and fade time. Users can work with multiple stacks, apply batch timing to individual stacks, and choose one of five modes for playing back cues. Creating looks and playing back shows is as simple a creating an iTunes playlist.

Industry Standards
Luminair was created with industry standards in mind. DMX is computed natively on your iPad, without relying on a master console's proprietary protocol, making Luminair versatile for both initial installation, as well as when upgrading gear.

File Management
Fixtures and projects can be saved and restored at any time, making Luminair an indispensable tool for configuring your lighting network. A built-in file manager makes this a simple process. Build fixture presets right on the device. Open project, fixture, and PDF files emailed directly to your iPad.


Input analyzing & recording
Luminair's Art-Net input universe allows DMX data to be displayed in realtime. Luminair also offers the capability of recording snapshots from the Art-Net input port directly to individual cues. Useful for show backup, or for transferring looks from a full-size console.


File Transfers
The built-in HTTP web server allows file transfers back and forth between your computer and multiple devices. Use any standard web browser on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Mac users can also use LCompanion.


LCompanion
LCompanion is a free Mac OS X app that allows you to both build Luminair fixture files, and transfer project, fixture, and image files between your devices(s) and Mac computer. Download here


Preferences
Luminair uses "in-app" preferences, allowing you to set a variety of global options without having to go into system settings.

Enttec ODE
Luminair is compatible with Enttec's ODE interfaces, and every other Art-Net to DMX interface on the market.


Energy Efficiency
Easily one of the most energy efficient lighting consoles ever. Luminair gives users up to 10 hours of internal battery playback, and will run indefinitely when plugged into a dock or other USB power source.


PDF Support
Luminair for iPad can open PDF files right inside the app. Now you can carry along and have quick access to user manuals, paperwork, and other technical documents without leaving the app. Just drag your documents into the app file sharing tab in iTunes and sync.


WYSIWYG Support
Transfer POV (point of view) images and data directly over Wi-Fi from Cast Software's WYSIWYG R25 or greater. Browse and trigger cues automatically created from your WYSIWYG info. Just use the "Upload to Luminair..." function in WYSIWYG.

Luminair has a 37-page PDF user manual, built right into the app for easy full-screen reference.
